Subpar sex ed: Sexual education in the United States vs. Sweden

The daunting three-letter word “sex” isn’t negative, and doesn’t have to hold as much weight as it does. But in today’s society, without change, it retains the shattering effect alongside other negatively connoted words. Why? Because the American Sexual Education System is, simply put, subpar, and without change, we can’t shatter the word “sex” back to its true meaning. Join me in this mini-documentary as I uncover Sweden’s effective sexual education system, speaking with two peers who attended a maymester program in May, 2025. Together, we can enforce better regulations regarding effective sexual education.
