Unplugged: A Short Horror Film

In my COM-202 course, my classmates and I were tasked with creating a spooky video in the spirit of Halloween. Together, we created Unplugged, a story centered around Jackson Morris and a classmate’s attempt to steal his identity and don not only his sweatshirt, but his life. I created this project in Premiere Pro, incorporating jump cuts, screen glitch overlays, and horror music from the film Smile 2. We begin the story in medias res, placing the viewers on a planned FaceTime call to storyboard our project (dramatic irony). Suddenly, though, Jackson veers off due to a “technical difficulty,” and… Well, let’s say, things take a dark turn.
